To reinforce this stance, NIBM has established an Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (“ABAC”) Policy, outlining the roles and responsibilities of relevant stakeholders and key provisions related to anti-bribery and anti-corruption. This Policy applies to all employees, research collaborations, industry engagements and institutional partnerships, reflecting NIBM’s dedication to ethical, transparent and responsible biotechnology practices.

NIBM’s ABAC Policy serves as a fundamental framework for our employees, including the Board of Trustees, to foster a corporate culture that strictly opposes bribery and corruption. This policy is designed to minimise corruption risks and prevent unethical conduct in all engagements with stakeholders, collaborators and industry partners throughout their association with NIBM.

Our approach aligns with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 (MACC Act), the MACC (Amendment) Act 2018 and the Prime Minister’s Directive on Integrity & Governance.
